Hi Tomin, it was a long time that i read of your ForDiag in some forum and
i would try to have some infos from you if you want.
I'm from Italy and it's a long time that i tried to connect the EEC-IV
placed in my Escort Cosworth (last model T25) that i understand had the
same pins you described and used for extracting the data bus (pin 18 & 19).
First of all i want ask if it's still possible to buy the cable & sw (i saw
that you sell it at 70-80€ circa) from you and evenctually the freight
expenses to send all to Italy. I had also programmers capability (C
language and others..) and my big dream is to have a porting of your system
in a different device like smartphones (possibly android) so me and other
friends can have a real time monitoring with a small in-car device.
This is really a big thing cause we can have all the right parametrs under
control and also set some alarms on high/strange values from instruments
monitored. I think also that if you have the knowledge of the DCL protocol
(via RS485/J1708) that i know it's a really difficult thing to implement,
so why don't you (or we together if you want) try to have an embedded "translation" for
an ELM327 so we can convert it for OBD2 (and consequently BT or WIFI and so have the
opportunity to use ready software for various devices?
I hope that i don't have bored and that my idea is interesting for you.
Let me know what you think and the cost for a kit.

Ah, another thing: I've tried to send you an email to fordiag@fordiag.cz but my Mailer system return:

I suppose that by default you refuse email (for preventing spam) from unknown users, dont' you?
Try to see if the same problem is returned from you email system.

If it comes to Cosworth's YB it's on Magnetti-Marelli / Weber-Marelli IAW. There's an open source program from a polish programmer TZOK http://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/viewto ... ?t=1616859 the author of this software wants to give sources of the aplication.

Chętnie udostępnię źródła (C#) i materiały osobom chętnym do rozwoju programu, jednak proszę pamiętać, że projekt jest non-profit (choć nie mam nic przeciwko sprzedawaniu tego programu wraz z interfejsem na portalach aukcyjnych czy w sklepach internetowych). Docelowo program jak i interfejs ma zostać udostępniony na licencji GPL lub podobnej. 

I will make sources available (C#) and for the persons who want to develop the program, however please to remember that the project is non-profit (at least I have nothing against selling this program along with the interface on auction portals or in online shops). Ultimately the program as well as the interface are supposed to be made available under GPL licence or similar.

Maybe contact with him, he has a good knowledge of MM IAW's.

There are more versions of computer systems on YB engines.
Older are IAW, but last version (with small turbo) in Escorts was EEC 4 system.

eMWuGSM: are you sure it will work with IAW fitted in Ford's Cosie ? I read somewhere something like "Ford decided to use IAW, but decided to not use computer diag and uses only blink code". So if boys in Magneti-Marelli (IAW) did some modifications in firmware for Ford and take code for communication away ... it will not work.
This is my question, I am not sure about that.

As far as I remember guys that have cossies connected into MM Star, the older MM IAW for example Cossie RWD could be connected to Fiat's testers (that's the reason why Cossies for example couldn't have a board computer such as Ghias and UK 2000's

In a week time I'll have the Socio Tester (It's based on Magnetti-Marelli) It should have them listed.
